A Google Business Profile can show hours, photos, reviews, phone number, service details, and a map pin when someone searches for a business or a nearby category. It used to be called Google My Business and is managed on Google rather than on the business website.
The profile can be an important source of discovery, calls, and directions. Google recommends complete, accurate information, appropriate categories, reviews, and photos, but it does not document generic posting or profile activity as a direct ranking factor.
Because it lives on Google and not on your site, it needs its own attention. A great website does not fix a neglected profile, and a great profile does not replace a website that closes the sale.
The box that appears on the right side of Google when you search a business by name, with photos, hours, reviews, and a "Directions" button, is that business’s Google Business Profile.
